“the green house”

A social landmark. A rite of passage. Less a place than a character, forever linked to the rich history of Loras College.
Visiting meant walking around back, slipping in the side door, passing through the kitchen, and heading straight to the basement - where the creaky stairs announced your arrival as you descended into the scene below.
It’s where nervous first-years, unsure but eager, explored their newfound freedom, and where those who already knew the way came back again and again for the familiar faces and unmistakeable vibe that rippled through the entire house.
More than a party, The Green House was a feeling - the kind that wraps itself around a song, a someone, a stretch of youth you didn’t realize was fleeting. You can’t go back to those magic nights, but the memories remain, woven into the fabric of who you became.
